Building on Faith in Laredo
For 90 years, the Salesian Sisters have been faithfully serving the Diocese of Laredo, walking alongside generations of young people and families. When their convent at Mary Help of Christians School became uninhabitable in 2004, what was intended to be a temporary move into mobile homes became a 22-year journey marked by faith, resilience, and hope.
That journey recently reached a joyful new chapter. Through the intercession of St. Joseph and Mary Help of Christians, the Sisters now have a beautifully renovated convent and ministry space. With hearts full of gratitude, we extend our sincere thanks to Sr. Rosann Ruiz, Sr. Vuong Do, Sr. Thuy Huong Nguyen, the Advisory Building Committee, the Fundraising Committee, our generous benefactors, Zertuche Construction Company, Cavazos Architects, and the entire Salesian Family. Because of your generosity and dedication, this long-awaited dream has become a reality.
