Remembering Sr. Diana Filipas

We pray for the eternal repose of Sr. Diana Filipas who lost the fight to Covid on February 12, 2021 in San Antonio. She was 80 years of age and 59 years of joyful service as a Salesian Sister.

Sr. Diana was born and raised in the San Francisco area. After her religious profession, she served the Lord with ardent joy and zeal as a dynamic Elementary school teacher and catechist in New Jersey, California, Louisiana, and Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister. She is survived by one brother and her religious community, the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (Salesian Sisters) and many friends who loved her dearly.

Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.

Gifts in memory of Sr. Diana may be offered to support young women preparing to be Salesian Sisters. Give a memorial gift online at https://salesiansisterswest.org/support-our-mission/donate-now
