On a Mission

VIDES (Volunteers International for Development, Education and Solidarity) is a lay volunteer program in which young adults serve short-term or long-term missions domestically and internationally with the Salesian Sisters and priests. Even in the midst of the pandemic, there are still young people who desire to give themselves in service! Five young women are currently participating in a virtual training before they leave on mission. Jessica will help our Sisters in Westwego, Louisiana; Nicole will be in Cochabamba, Bolivia; Gabbi is headed to Tegucigalpa, Honduras; Riley will be serving in Granada, Nicaragua; and Desireah will be in Orocovis, Puerto Rico. During training, they learn about our Salesian spirituality and style of accompanying the young. They are super excited to go on mission and meet the young people awaiting them!
