Remembering Sr. Rita Fantin, FMA

Sr. Rita Fantin, FMA, the eleventh of 12 children in the family, a native of Riese, Italy, died peacefully at the age of 92, July 20, 2022, at the Provincial House in San Antonio, TX.

After her religious profession, Sr. Rita arrived in Paterson, N.J. as a missionary in 1952.  She predominantly and passionately served our schools in Paterson, California, Louisiana, and Texas as Principal and community Superior. 

Sr. Rita is preceded in death by her parents and 10 older siblings. She is survived by her sister, Sr. Virginia (Daughter of St. Paul), Giuseppe, her brother, and her religious community, the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (Salesian Sisters) and many friends who loved her dearly.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we will live-stream the Rosary and Mass on the Province Facebook page: Salesian Sisters West 

The Rosary will be on Wednesday, July 27th, 2022, at 7:00 P.M. (CST) and the Mass Thursday, July 28th at 10:00 A.M. (CST)
