Passing of Our Beloved Sr. Kathy Keane

As we celebrate the Feast of St. Francis de Sales, we had the sudden passing of one of our beloved Daughters of Mary Help of Christians.  Sr. Katherine Keane went to heaven on January 24, 2022 from the Provincial House in San Antonio, Texas.  She was the third of ten children, and a native of Brooklyn, New York. Sr. Kathy served all her life in school ministry beginning in New Jersey, then on to Pennsylvania, New York, and Florida.  From 1982-2002, she served as a gifted and dynamic principal in Florida, Louisiana, Arizona, and Texas.

Sr. Kathy is survived by three brothers, three sisters, nieces and nephews, and her religious community, the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (Salesian Sisters) and many, loving friends. She has joined her parents, William and Katherine along with two brothers and one sister into Everlasting Happiness. 

Funeral arrangements for Sr. Kathy Keane:

The Rosary and Mass will be live-streamed on our Facebook page: Daughters of Mary Help of Christians/ Salesian Sisters West.  The Rosary will be Wednesday, January 26th at 7:00 P.M. and the Mass, Thursday, January 27th at 10:00 A.M.
