Pray for Ukraine

News from our Daughters of Mary Help of Christians/ Salesian Sisters communities in Ukraine:

Mother Chiara Cazzuola, Mother General of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians shares “We know that our sisters are well. They are experiencing the suffering, anxiety, and uncertainty of the population in this dramatic moment of the nation, entrusting everyone to the protection of Mary Help of Christians. They thank the FMA and the Educating Communities of the world for their closeness and prayer."

The FMA Community of Lviv communicates that they are well and that their house is welcoming the many people fleeing to save themselves from attacks, especially mothers with small children. And when they are in the shelter, they pray the rosary with the people: “This is our weapon! We thank in prayer those who are giving their lives to defend us and we thank God who has given us another day of life ”. 

United with the people of Ukraine, we invite you to pray the prayer that St. John Bosco composed “O Mary, Most Powerful Virgin”. Together, let us invoke the powerful intercession of Mary, to free humanity from the dangers of war, hatred, and violence.

O Mary, most powerful virgin, great and illustrious defender of the Church, wonderful help of Christians, formidable as an army in battle array, you, who alone have overcome every heresy in the world, in our anguish, in our combats, in our difficulties, defend us from the enemy and in the hour of our death receive our souls into paradise. Amen
