Our dear Sr. Lucy Yuen passed away suddenly on October 19 in Laredo, TX. She served 43 years as a Daughter of Mary Help of Christians and today, October 22, would have been her 75th birthday.

- Mass of Resurrection Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 10:00 A.M.

Sr. Lucy Kam-ying Yuen, FMA, the second of two children in the family, native of Canton, Kwangtung, China, died unexpectedly at the age of 75 on October 19, 2022, at Doctors’ Hospital in Laredo, TX.
Sr. Lucy served the Lord and His little children with contagious joy and unwavering enthusiasm as a teacher and catechist in several schools in New Jersey, California, and Texas. Her last assignment cut short by heart failure after she had just finished teaching a class of kindergartners in Laredo, TX.
She is preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her sister Christina Lo, nieces and nephews and her religious community, the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians - Salesian Sisters.
After the funeral in San Antonio, Sr. Lucy’s body will be brought to San Francisco, CA for a funeral Mass and interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma, CA. These service arrangements are pending at this time.
