Summer Discernment Program

Are you discerning Religious Life? Do you enjoy working with youth? Would you like to experience Salesian  Spirituality?  If so, our summer discernment program might be right for you.  Discerners live in community, participate in our prayer life and volunteer side by side with us at summer camp. Daily formative moments offer discerners the opportunity to deepen their personal journey and learn about Salesian Spirituality.We invite you to volunteer with us at one of our summer camps as we celebrate youth and build the future!

June 27-July 10, 2021 (2 weeks)

St. John Bosco Summer Day Camp is located at St. John Bosco School/Convent on the west side of San Antonio, TX. This day camp operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Young adults and high school youth volunteer with us to serve 30-50 boys and girls ages 5 to 14. The camp offers daily visits to the Blessed Sacrament, weekly Mass, arts & crafts, spirit time, indoor/outdoor games, swimming, movies, weekly field trips and more.

July 11-24, 2021 (2 weeks)

Camp Auxilium is located at Salesian Sisters School/Convent in Corralitos, CA. This residential camp operates 24 hours a day from Sunday to Saturday with an opportunity for day campers to attend Monday to Friday. Young adults and high school youth volunteer with us to serve 60-80 girls ages 6 to 14. At Camp Auxilium, the campers nourish their spiritual life by attending daily Mass and praying the Rosary. The camp offers various activities: archery, weekly campfires, arts & crafts, outdoor games, evening activities, swimming and more.
