Artemide Zatti will be the first non-martyr Salesian to be canonized on October 9, 2022, in Rome. The Rector Major invites all those who will not be able to be physically present to participate online in this great event. Here is how it will be possible to do so. The Eucharistic celebration with the rite of canonization will be made available on Vatican New Live at 10 AM (Rome). Since that will be very early in the morning for those in the United States, you can watch the replay anytime after.
In anticipation of the canonization, over 3,000 members of the Salesian Family gathered on October 8th for a solemn Mass, presided by Rector Major, Fr Á.F. Artime, and concelebrated by dozens of other Salesians: members of the General Council, Rector Major Emeritus, Fr Pascual Chávez, and several other cardinals and bishops. This was followed by an audience of Pope Francis for the pilgrims gathered for the canonization of Artemide Zatti. A few members from our FMA & SDB Western Provinces were able to be in attendance for this magnificent celebration.
